The Battle River Research Association (BRRG) came into existence after the amalgamation of the Battle River Forage Association and the Battle River Applied Research Association in 1993. We are located in Forestburg, Alberta, allowing us to easily serve the east-central region of Alberta.​We are proud to serve the counties of Paintearth, Stettler, Camrose, Beaver, and Flagstaff where our office is located.

The Foothills Forage & Grazing Association is a non-profit producer driven association that strives to bring practical information and production strategies to forage and livestock producers in south central Alberta by hosting demonstration projects, events and workshops. FFGA brings together a network of producers who are interested in finding profitable and regenerative ways to produce forages and livestock.

Gateway Research Organization is a non-profit applied research association based out of Westlock, AB. We make mistakes so that you, the farmer, don't have to. Governed by a forward-thinking board of directors who set the tone for GRO, we are driven, passionate and curious. We love learning and then sharing what we learn with our producers.

The Grey Wooded Forage Association was established in 1984 by a group of cattle producers in West Central Alberta who wished to improve their grazing practices. We work to create awareness of the uses and potential uses of forages and to share information on various production practices in the livestock and forage sector.

The Mackenzie Applied Research Association [MARA] is a not-for-profit producer-driven applied research association. MARA serves producers in Mackenzie County, the largest County in Alberta and the northernmost commercial agriculture region in Canada. MARA conducts applied agricultural and environmental research from its Fort Vermilion, Alberta, location.

The North Peace Applied Research Association is a non-profit, producer-driven organization that has been operating since 1988. The North Peace Applied Research Association’s mission is to serve farmers within the County of Northern Lights and the M.D of Peace #135 and to meet the particular needs that result from our unique climatic, geographic and soil conditions. NPARA conducts applied research as determined by our Board of Directors

Since 1978, Farming Forward (WCFA) has served the needs of forage and livestock producers in the region by demonstrating new agricultural technology and production practices through extension activities, applied research & demonstration, and knowledge sharing. Framing Forward works with industry, government, producers and other stakeholders to serve the needs of producers in the region.

The Chinook Applied Research Association is driven by farmers and ranchers in the Special Areas and MD of Acadia of east central Alberta to bring innovative and profitable practices to the local agricultural industry. Our program of applied research, demonstration and extension projects provides a link in the transfer of knowledge and technology between research and the producer. Producers, industry, government and others can access reliable data on crop, livestock, soil and water projects that is relevant to the area and its soil and climatic conditions.
