AgKnow

Our initiative focuses on addressing the unique challenges farmers face by collaborating with stakeholders to identify needs and approaches that ensure accessible and effective mental health support for farmers. We aim to develop a network of services that support farmers’ well-being, contributing to local economies and fostering resilient rural communities. We do this by developing and adapting mental health programs that fit farm life, engaging with producer networks, and working with policymakers to create an environment where farm families, and thrive.

Alberta Environmental Farm Plan

Change does not have to happen rapidly or be shouldered alone to have a lasting impact. Alberta EFP provides a free, confidential, whole-farm self-assessment tool for producers to know exactly where their farms are at. Completing an EFP allows for greater awareness, education, and access to market opportunities for producers across the province. Once an EFP is completed, it is valid for 10 years and provides you with an action plan that you can implement as time and resources allow.
