Alberta Range Stewardship Course

Location: Consort Golf Club

This 2-day workshop brings together livestock producers and professionals to share the principles of range management and celebrate stewardship. Our goal as we share experiences and information is to keep ranching operations sustainabile in Alberta, economically, but also socially and environmentally. Topics that wlil be covered over the two days include but are not limited to:

  • Native Plant Identification

  • Principles of Range Management

  • Range and Riparian Health Assessment

  • Beavers and Drought

  • Brush Encroachment

  • Rancher Perspectives

Registration fee includes: 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, plant identification book, knowledge sharing and a great hands on experiene.

Please note that this course is intended for producers.

Accomodation: You may reserve camping at Gooseberry Lake Provincial Park or check out hotels in the village of Consort.
